Maybe I'll pick up another system to get things started.  FTP'd the floppies
from the alpha tree under the 3.3 release the other day - the system boots
but it doesn't quite understand the network card (thinks the link is down)
and doesn't seem to see the CD, so going forward with the install is a bit
tough.  This is a Digital Personal Workstation 500MHz/644MB.

I also have an XP1000 (the new Compaq branded EV6 box) and will try it as
soon as I can get SRM loaded onto it.
