Not to nit, but is the naming ("lib++" instead of "libg++") intentional?
Seems like it's more appropriately named libg++ to me. Any reason why
you picked this one instead, other than the obvious - shorter name?

Could you name any existing ports that might benefit from this somehow?
This seems to be covered by the egcs and gcc-devel ports...
