Hi,

this isnt very nice to say, but you knew you were running experimental code, 
that is supposed do do RAIDs, on a single HDD. ZFS can't really do its magic 
without redundancy.

You could try to make a dd copy of the partition to another Harddrive to remove 
the possible hardware failure from the equation and try different stuff on that 
image.

But i wouldnt trust a currupted filesystem, so the ports may be reinstalld anyway.
