I have just put a HP C1534A DAT drive in my system. I am running 2.1.5-RELEASE with an Adaptec 2940 SCSI card. When I try and do a dump to /dev/nrst0 or mt /dev/nrst0 erase the tape drive seems to work fine, then near the end of the job I get SCSI problems: Sep 4 16:41:16 boris /kernel: st0(ahc0:4:0): timed out in dataout phase, SCSISI GI == 0x0 Sep 4 16:41:16 boris /kernel: st0(ahc0:4:0): BUS DEVICE RESET message queued. Sep 4 16:41:16 boris /kernel: Bus Device Reset Message Sent Sep 4 16:41:16 boris /kernel: st0(ahc0:4:0): Bus Device Reset delivered. 1 SCBs aborted Is anyone else using this drive (or any of the othe HP 2Gb SCSI DAT drives)? I saw a bug report the suggested turning up the timeout value in scsi_base.c I did this and recompiled, but it still times out. Any ideas? -Matt
