I just recently CVSupped the handbook tree again, made some
modifications to a file, and attempted to build it. 'make'
resulted in the following error (separated by blank lines for
convenience):

/usr/local/bin/jade -V html-manifest -ioutput.html -c /usr/doc/share/sgml/catalog -c /usr/local/share/sgml/docbook/dsssl/modular/catalog -c /usr/local/share/sgml/docbook/3.0/catalog -c /usr/local/share/sgml/jade/catalog -d /usr/doc/share/sgml/freebsd.dsl -t sgml handbook.sgml

/usr/local/bin/jade:handbook.sgml:12:0:E: cannot open "/usr/doc/share/sgml/../../en/share/sgml/bookinfo.ent" (No such file or directory)

/usr/local/bin/jade:handbook.sgml:46:5:E: general entity "bookinfo.legalnotice" not defined and no default entity

/usr/local/bin/jade:introduction/chapter.sgml:338:0:E: character data is not allowed here

/usr/local/bin/jade:introduction/chapter.sgml:340:60:E: end tag for element "PARA" which is not open
