I switched from linux to FreeBSD a while back, mainly because of the awful
linux documentation but also because of the frequency of power problems in
OZ that kept corrupting linux filesystems. Whilst the FreeBSD docs are heaps
better than linux equivalents in most cases & are gradually improving over
time,
the apparently obligatory lack of diagrams / examples is still a problem for
people unfamiliar with a particular application. Thankfully there are a
growing
number of unofficial "user friendly" resource sites such as freebsddiary.org /
bsdvault.net / freebsd.lowlife.org / etc that fill in a lot of gaps
