Must I fillin the disk geometry with those numbers I believe so. The space for freebsd that I want use is 2000MB or even more Is that a critical value I put then a minimum installaton on the freebsd partition. In the remaining part off 6.4GB I use fdisk (dos) and make there a = primary C drive. I format it and make him bootable but the bootmanager don't see the = bootable windows drive C. In a earlier e-mail about this problem talks about the first 1024 = cilinders where I have to install freebsd can you explain to me what = this means. What do I wrong or is it not possible to install freebsd and windows on = one drive. Best Regards Mans Joling. ------=_NextPart_000_0004_01BE26D9.C9981AA0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD W3 HTML//EN"> <HTML> <HEAD> <META content=3Dtext/html;charset=3Diso-8859-1 = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META content=3D'"MSHTML 4.72.3110.7"' name=3DGENERATOR> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>Dear Sir,</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>I hav a 8.4 GB harddrive with the = following=20 numbers16383/16/63 </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2></FONT><FONT size=3D2>My harddrive = is empty with a=20 primary space off 8.4 GB</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>If I boot from floppy to install = freebsd version=20 2.2.5 for the first time and what must I do.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>Must I fillin the disk geometry with = those=20 numbers I believe so.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>The space for freebsd that I want use is 2000MB or = even=20 more</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>Is that a critical value</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>I put then a minimum installaton on the freebsd=20 partition.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>In the remaining part off 6.4GB I use fdisk (dos) = and make=20 there a primary C drive.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>I format it and make him bootable but t</FONT><FONT = size=3D2>he=20 bootmanager don't see the bootable windows drive C.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>In a earlier e-mail about this problem talks about = the first=20 1024 cilinders where I have to install freebsd can you explain to me = what this=20 means.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2></FONT><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>What do I = wrong or is it not=20 possible to install freebsd and windows on one drive.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>Best Regards</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>Mans Joling.</FONT></DIV></BODY></HTML> ------=_NextPart_000_0004_01BE26D9.C9981AA0-- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
