The following reply was made to PR ports/124083; it has been noted by GNATS. I just tried to build net/vnc, but the distfile seems to have changed: ### ===> Found saved configuration for vnc-4.1.2_5 vnc-4_1_2-unixsrc.tar.gz 100% of 537 kB 242 kBps => MD5 Checksum mismatch for xc/vnc-4_1_2-unixsrc.tar.gz. => SHA256 Checksum mismatch for xc/vnc-4_1_2-unixsrc.tar.gz. => MD5 Checksum OK for xc/X430src-1.tgz. => SHA256 Checksum OK for xc/X430src-1.tgz. => MD5 Checksum OK for xc/X430src-2.tgz. => SHA256 Checksum OK for xc/X430src-2.tgz. => MD5 Checksum OK for xc/X430src-3.tgz. => SHA256 Checksum OK for xc/X430src-3.tgz. ===> Refetch for 1 more times files: xc/vnc-4_1_2-unixsrc.tar.gz xc/vnc-4_1_2-unixsrc.tar.gz ===> Found saved configuration for vnc-4.1.2_5 => vnc-4_1_2-unixsrc.tar.gz doesn't seem to exist in /usr/ports/distfiles/xc. => Attempting to fetch from http://www.realvnc.com/. fetch: http://www.realvnc.com/vnc-4_1_2-unixsrc.tar.gz: Not Found => Attempting to fetch from ftp://ftp.de.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/distfiles/xc/. fetch: vnc-4_1_2-unixsrc.tar.gz: local modification time does not match remote => Couldn't fetch it - please try to retrieve this => port manually into /usr/ports/distfiles/xc and try again. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/net/vnc. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/net/vnc. ### So, at least for now the port should be marked as BROKEN, anyway. I had a look at the RealVNC web site, and there is version 4.1.3 of the source code for download. Somebody who uses this software will eventually have to update the port and fix it. (By the way: is there a recommendable alternative to this VNC server in the ports collection?) Regards, Stefan
