Putting aside the issue of actual differences between the products,
Walnut Creek donates a considerable portion of its proceeds to the
development of FreeBSD.  You don't get nearly as many warm fuzzies
if you buy elsewhere.

On the other hand, I think we'd all agree that we'd rather have you
buy from one of the cheap places than have you not try FreeBSD at
all.
