Yep. No go. I also figured that since the documentation on XFree86.org's website said "Xinerama is not enabled by default, and can be enabled with the +xinerama command line option for the X server." I thought that was how it had to be called...however, when I try to start X either way, there is no Xinerama calls in the XFree86.0.log log file. I wonder if I need to start up my X server a differrent way...
