I would suggest getting the Netgear or 3Com boards instead. They're Alteon
OEM boards, and are generally a fair bit cheaper than the price you'll get
from Alteon.

The Netgear GA620 boards have 512K SRAM on board, the 3Com 3c985B has 1MB
SRAM on board.

Netgear has a copper version out (GA620T), but I don't see a copper version
of 3Com's OEM board, which would likely have 1MB SRAM.

So if you want a Alteon board with a cat-5 interface, you'll probably have
to go directly to Alteon. AFAIK, you can't buy Alteon-branded boards
from anyone but Alteon. You'll have to call them up and talk to a
salesperson.

If you want fiber, a Netgear or 3Com board will do the trick.
