Well, no idea if it is related to the OS version or more to
gcc and boost and all this stuff. I just know that my gcc48
(4.8.5 20150611 (prerelease)) is older than the current version
in ports.

BTW, I have made a port of MSP430Flasher

http://www.ti.com/tool/msp430-flasher

which is the "official" TI tool for flashing and which depends
on libmsp430.so. In case you are interested drop me a note...
