Hi I just installed 4.0 -release

When ever I run perl i get the following errors and my program fails.

perl: Warning: Setting locale failed
perl: Warning: Please check that you locale settings:
        LC_ALL = C
        LC_CTYPE = en_US
        LANG = C
      are supported and installed on your system
perl: warning: Falling back to standard locale ("C").

I set the variable via the shell before running but I still get this

Any help would be appreciated.
