Yep, that's correct.  I was quite surprised to hear about the
/etc/services truncation, in fact, and think it's some cpio bogosity
that needs investigating.

The world is still waiting for a replacement for tar/cpio/... that
allows compression, random access to files and isn't named `zip'.. :-)
