i have an isa-bussed 486, and two network cards. after installing freebsd, i
add support for the 2nd nic, and recompile the kernel. NIC 1 is called ed0 in
the kernel configuration file GENERIC, but when i do an ifconfig its called
ed2. What should i call the 2nd nic in relevant files where its referred to?
(eg, rc.conf)
i've called it ed1 but when booting up, a message says "ed1 does not exist"
what to do?
this is all for a firewall.

thanx you all,
oscar
