I just ordered this book from Amazon.com. It sounds like it is going to
be a great resource. Here is the info on the book:

Title: The Design & Implementation of the 4.4 BSD UNIX Operating
Systems
   Author: McKusick, Marshall K.
   Pub. date: 04/1996
   ISBN: 0-201-54979-4
   Binding: Cloth Text
   Pub: Addison-Wesley Publishing Company. Incorporated
   Retail: $48.50

I ordered it from :
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ISBN=0201549794/3851-0340444-430223

for $38.80 plus $3.95 shipping.

Hope this helps someone......
