in FreeBSD 5.0 DP1 there is /usr/tmp
	2 drwxrwxrwt 2 root wheel 512 Apr 11 12:37 /usr/tmp/

any particular reason for this directory? I'm asking because i like to
keep / and /usr read only, and /tmp is linked to /usr/var/tmp which is
writable.

danny
