why isn't gawk 3.03 the default /usr/bin version of awk that is shipped with FBSD? i am aware that is available as a package, but why isn't it the default? it has been out for a few years now, fixes many bugs over the current 2.15 default, isn't much bigger, has a lot of better features, etc. To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
