Hi there.
The easiest thing I believe would be to grab the 8.9.1 source.
Compile and install. Making sure to use a new sendmail.cf file.
This can be generated from the M4 (*.mc) files provided in the 
cf/cf directory.
The thing about 8.9.1 is that it has anti-relaying (anti spam!)
configured BY DEFAULT :-)
