They might use their own custom silicon. They bought a company in Cambridge
UK a few years ago that develops 802.11 hardware (RF, PHY, MAC etc).

I might be able to find out some names - the Cambridge company was formed
by a bunch of people that left the people I work for. I don't know whether
any of the old lags at my place are in touch with the Nokia lot.
