Yes indeed, dialogs, menus, the sidebar, etc. look pretty durn weird.
I'm assuming that this has to do with with the new Xft support that
hasn't been fully nailed down yet.

If you want to use the mozilla rendering engine with anti-aliasing, you
can use phoenix or galeon which provides its own frontend. If you want
to remove the anti-aliasing, define WITHOUT_XFT as you build mozilla.

If you prefer to use mozilla with Xft support: if you change the
proportional font in the Font preferences dialog box to "Sans serif,"
then some words appear diagonally. Neat!
