That's nutty.

What version of FreeBSD is this?  Which screensaver?  What kind of mouse?
I assume you're running moused.

Can you capture this?  You may want to  a) compile a debugging kernel and
take a dump or b) run top and look for a runaway process.

No, just install isc-dhcp.
