Hi, I am currently upgrading from FreeBSD 4.8 to FreeBSD 5.x. The reason is that I would like to try some of the new features provided in 5.x, particulartly snapshots. I have a "kickstart" floppy that has served me well for BSD4.4 and 4.8. It has a kernel configured following the PICOBSD instructions. It automatically connects to an NFS server where the distributions are and installs them on the machine automatically (from an install.cfg file I provide at a well-known location). In FreeBSD 5.0 things aren't working. First of all, instead of the bin directory there is a base directory that is somehow confusing the original sysinstall. Secondly, the PICOBSD code doesn't compile on BSD5.0 and I haven't seen new source files. Is there a new sysinstall for FreeBSD 5.x? Has anybody experienced similar problems? Any hints would be appreciated. Thanks Eno
