>Release: FreeBSD AMD64 7.0 RELEASE
>Organization:
N/A
>Environment:
Cannot execute uname -a, does not install.
>Description:
After disabling ACPI, the boot disk begins to load. It gets up to the point

Trying to mount root on ufs:/dev/md0

At which point the install hangs (for over an hour). Given that the issue appears with all available devices disabled or removed in BIOS, the point of failure is most likely a hardware incompatibility with the EVGA LGA 775 motherboard. FreeBSD 6.3 boots normally on this hardware.
>How-To-Repeat:
Using the same hardware (EVGA LGA 775 nforce 680i chipset, Intel Core Quad, all hard drives disabled) the stall will happen every time the computer boots up.
