It's quite unlikely that there's enough time before 5.0 for a proper
implementation of the wide character collation functions. I have a
version of these functions that uses the Unicode Collating Algorithm
(http://www.unicode.org/unicode/reports/tr10/) as well as Unicode
implementations of all the ctype functions, but I think they're a
candidate for 6.0, not 5.0.
