See the OpenOffice port at /usr/ports/editors/openoffice-1.1, or at:

WWW: http://www.openoffice.org/
      http://porting.openoffice.org/freebsd/

...except for the .txt files, which can be viewed or editted by any text editor 
you like, such as vi, emacs, etc.
