I updated my png port to 1.0.8 and when I started X (WindowMaker) got this
error:

"/usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libpng.so.3" not found.

And then I'm booted out of X.

To fix this, I created a file, /usr/local/lib/libpng.so.3, that's a symbolic
link to libpng.so.4, which came with the new port (the old port did have
libpng.so.3).

This seems like a cheap fix. What's the right way?
