Well, the new groff update breaks world on Alpha. The groff does work ok on sparc64. The alpha build dies trying to format the usd/13.viref document. During the actual buildworld groff exited with an 'out of memory' error. I did a world with NO_SHAREDOCS and now when I try to build the share docs I get no error message, groff just fails silently. However, groff does seem to give the runtime linker heartache for both succesfful and failing runs: ===> usd/13.viref (cd /usr/src/share/doc/usd/13.viref/../../../../contrib/nvi/docs/USD.doc/vi.ref; sed -e\ 's:\(\.so[\ \ ][\ \ ]*\)\(vi.ref\)$:\1/usr/src/share/doc/usd/13.viref/../../../../contrib/nvi/docs/USD.doc/vi.ref/\2:' -e\ 's:\(\.so[\ \ ][\ \]*\)\(ex.cmd.roff\)$:\1/usr/src/share/doc/usd/13.viref/../../../../contrib/nvi/docs/USD.doc/vi.ref/ \2:' -e\ 's:\(\.so[\ \ ][\ \ ]*\)\(ref.so\)$:\1/usr/src/share/doc/usd/13.viref/../../../../contrib/nvi/docs/USD.doc/vi.ref/\2:' -e\ 's:\(\.so[\ \ ][\ \ ]*\)\(set.opt.roff\)$:\1/usr/src/share/doc/usd/13.viref/../../../../contrib/nvi/docs/USD.doc/vi.ref/ \2:' -e\ 's:\(\.so[\ \ ][\ \ ]*\)\(vi.cmd.roff\)$:\1/usr/src/share/doc/usd/13.viref/../../../../contrib/nvi/docs/USD.doc/vi.ref/\ 2:' -e 's:^\.so index.so$::' vi.ref) | groff -mtty-char -Tascii -t -s -me -U -o1- > /dev/null /usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: groff: too few PT_LOAD segments *** Error code 1 -- John Baldwin <jhb@FreeBSD.org> <>< http://www.FreeBSD.org/~jhb/ "Power Users Use the Power to Serve!" - http://www.FreeBSD.org/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-current" in the body of the message
