Well, if ye are referring to the devel ports, which judging from yer quoted
versionnumber is what yer trying to do, then I think that maybe Andreas or
Vanilla might have been succesful (Vanilla is the port maintainer).

Andreas and I are testing Vanilla's ports and trying to get bugs out of the
Gtk install stuff. (Andreas and/or Vanilla might want to correct me on this).

I have been trying to migrate/report back incompatibility bugs in the sources
and makefiles.

I haven't tried my hand at the latest Gtk (post 1.1.9), but will do so
tomorrow and in the weekend.
