Right, the 'first' half of the card works, but who knows which half it
is when you buy it.

Depends on how long you want to wait.  If you need something in the next
3 months, don't hold your breath waiting.  If you can wait that long,
then it *might* work by then, but I still wouldn't make any bets.

Basically, go buy an ethernet card. :) :)
