Netscape 4.76 is the most recent version of netscape 4.  Netscape
6.something is also available but unlikely to be more stable (it's
based on old versions of the mozilla code)

You do know the standard trick involving disabling java and
javascript, right?

There is no Mozilla 4.76 -- the latest version is 0.8 -- but it's fast
approaching usability.
