Hello Im running FreeBSD3.2 with an ESS 1869 soundcard. AFAIK, I have to use the OSS sounddrivers in order to get sound capabilities. Although when I play Quake2, I am unable to get sound. I emailed OSS about this, and they told me the problem was the FreeBSD OSS sounddrivers do not support mmap. So, what I would like to know is: is there any way at all I can get sound to work in Q2 without going to the extreme of buying a new sound card....
