Actually, it's been a while since I last used hydrogen on FreeBSD. I've
been happily using beta1 and beta2 on mac osx, though.

As for whether to start tracking the development more closely with
hydrogen, or repocopy a hydrogen-devel port for development releases, I
really have no strong opinion. Somewhere between these two approaches
could work too.. like, no update to alpha1, update to beta2 after it's
been out for one year.. it's really up to you :)
