This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_000E_01C17773.E1AF7000 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi, not quite sure where to mail this one to... the story is, i have a high speed serial card based on the holtek ht6535 = chip, and i want to enable clkX4 mode. when i enable it on the card, the = com port will not work. currently the only mode that works is clkX1 = which is really quite slow. the instructions that came with the card say = that "if you want to use the CLK x2 or x 4, your software utility must = offer the clock initiation". I've compiled the kernel with the high = speed ports with "flags 0x20000" (dunno if thats right, but LINT said it = enables higher bandwidth or something like that). My question is this: how do i enable clk x 4? thanks in advance X ------=_NextPart_000_000E_01C17773.E1AF7000 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Diso-8859-1"> <META content=3D"MSHTML 5.50.4134.100" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>Hi, not quite sure where to mail this = one=20 to...</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>the story is, i have a high speed = serial card based=20 on the holtek ht6535 chip, and i want to enable clkX4 mode. when i = enable it on=20 the card, the com port will not work. currently the only mode that works = is=20 clkX1 which is really quite slow. the instructions that came with the = card say=20 that "if you want to use the CLK x2 or x 4, your software utility must = offer the=20 clock initiation".
