I'm pretty sure the SparQ carts won't work in a SyJet.  The SparQ carts
can be had for less than $33/1GB and the SyJet carts are around
$117/1.5GB.  The SyJet drive is not available as EIDE, the SparQ is 
not available as SCSI.  The cost difference between the two drives has 
been around $100.  Of course, carts may be hard to come by if
Syquest folds and isn't picked up by somebody (is Western Digital
listening??)

Download the 3.0R boot floppy and boot it and see if it recognizes the
drive??
Unix systems measure "uptime" in years, Winblows measures it in minutes.
