Can you check if your machine is swap thrashing (ie, swapping like crazy)? Have you tried a different video card?=20 The only time I've ever witnessed FreeBSD being abnormally slow has been in some intensive encryption code. The same code run on an older Redhat machine ran about 10-15x as fast. In any event, I would be very suspect of your hardware devices and their compatibility with FreeBSD. This is the most likely culprit (assuming you've tested for obvious things, like rampant processes, memory leaks, etc). --=20 Adam <blueeskimo@gmx.net> --=-jhyKNW0QBOf3wuLcQyXp Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQA+pnZTu3o4GBMSDL4RAtnMAKCUwDc5u5NJb9f4KJg5lIlr/6Bp1QCePKnR j0FcjG20EzSm4/UhKeTcic8= =EGmh -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-jhyKNW0QBOf3wuLcQyXp--
