Not to mention that this opens up a whole new and un-tapped namespace
for future branches.  Why, just looking at the varieties of tomatoes
or hot peppers alone, one can select from a pool of potential names
for years to come.

It also opens up a set of adjectives that naturally come to mind.  For
the -BEET branch that doesn't change much, for example, we can have
-PICKLED-BEET, and so forth.
