as gitlab depends on rubygem-grpc ~> 1.11.0 it will not be possible to
go to a version higher then 1.11.x, so 1.12.x or 1.13.x or 1.14.x will
not work.

If it is not absolutely required to have grpc in version 1.14 I suggest
we stick to the current version till gitlab support a newer rubygem-grpc
version than ~> 1.11.0.

Thanks a lot for the downgrade!

Matthias
