I tend to agree...I listen to lots of linux and freebsd lists and have
never been aware of Jeremy Domingue's complaints

Crash is a loaded word...which kernel is being used?
Have other kernels been tried?  What type of crash?  Where did you
ask for help (I found the linux community to be very helpful).  Are you
doing anything esoteric with your machine to make it crash?
	Patient:  Dr, it hurts when I do this
	Doctor:   Don't do that!!

IMHO, SMP could be asking for problems (unless you want to debug it),
get rid of an SMP configuration for starters...

When Linux panics, you see some diagnostic output on the screen...
Why don't you drop a note to Linux-kernel?
