There's probably some very good reason for it, but in
dev/acpica/acpi.c I see that suspend/resume is ifdef'd out for the
amd64 platform (or more precisely, anything not i386).  I'm curious,
what fails running in 64-bit mode?  Would it be a difficult thing to
enable?
