The new sound driver (I'm using pcm0 and sbc0) seems to break a lot of
Linux-centric games. Quake2, Q3Test, and snes9x (built from ports) all
have choppy, looping sound, and sometimes die with SIGSEGV or SIGBUS soon
after starting up. Other programs that use sound, like mpg123, work fine.
Everything worked just dandy with the old Voxware driver, but after my
latest kernel compile no amount of playing with PNP BIOS settings or
driver settings could get it to work. :( Is the new driver perhaps missing
some calls that Linux programs expect?
