The following reply was made to PR bin/45565; it has been noted by GNATS. From: dpk <dpk@dpk.net> To: bug-followup@freebsd.org Cc: exile@chamber.ee Subject: Re: bin/45565: [sysinstall] write error, filesystem full Date: Tue, 16 Aug 2005 11:47:53 -0700 (PDT) Is this PR still being investigated? The problem is still present in 5.4-RELEASE (and I presume -STABLE). When sysinstall fails to look up the FTP server (possibly due to kern/76890), after something like 5 or 10 minutes of trying, it lets you basically start over. Upon starting over, it tries to write all of the files to the memory disk instead of the actual server's drives.
