So please, > tell me. What files need I download? I have done the boot.flp part. It only took me about 30 seconds to load the FreeBSD page and decide to follow the link to ``these instructions'' at http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/install.html So what are you trying to do? Install by CD? FTP? What? > FreeBSD can be installed from a variety of media including CD-ROM, > floppy disk, magnetic tape, an MS-DOS partition, or if you have > a network connection, you can install it directly over anonymous > FTP or NFS I'm guessing you don't have the CD.... if you aren't on a fast link, I'd guess you would benefit from getting them, rather than doing it over FTP. They are pretty cheap, and it a good way to have a backup in case something goes funky. Have you checked your hardware to make sure it is compatible? TjL
