I actually did a lot of searching and wasn't able to find any machdep 
code with debugging added.

It's been confirmed that DP2 doesn't fix the problem. Instead of 
waiting for someone to fix this I'm putting time into it myself. John 
is feeding me some patches and we're trying to get it fixed.

That's good news for me. I can look at the linux code and see if 
they're initialising the AP any differently. Unfortunately linux's 
verion 2.0.43-patchlevel-4-subpatch-344-build-82 just ends up being 
too much of a headache to admin.
