And now I'm following up my own post. The issue of sound not working if the driver is loaded at boot time has been resolved. I found a REALLY stupid error on my part and it's fine. (It's really too dumb and embarrassing to go into.) The loss of irq11 after a resume still is a legitimate issue. Sound is not. Sorry for the noise. -- R.
