7.1 and 7-STABLE later then feb 2008 all have SCHED_ULE as default.
Only 7.0-RELEASE has SCHED_4BSD as default.

Yes. If you don't mind loosing the ability to kill off sleeping connections, 
you can add WITHOUT_THR_ALARM.

Yes. Linux threads is a port of the linux threading library 
(devel/linuxthreads).
