Allan, Confused by the question. This is a VM that has been running. Loader is 'grub'. Not sure if that implies bhyve given it is running on the bhyve hyperviser. I have another VM that was cloned from this one that is running fine. I did just build from stable yesterday and did a reboot which is when I find that this VM does not run. Not sure if it was corrupted because of a bad shutdown caused by the reboot, or if there is something more explainable as you suggest.
