--- Comment #12 from Gustavo Romero <gustavo.romero@protonmail.com> ---
(In reply to Piotr Kubaj from comment #11)

Hi Piotr,

I'm able to build fine the openjdk version found in the FreeBSD ports as you
pointed out, on a P9 VM with the patcheset provided by Mikael. It also runs
fine and I get no SIGILL. However I also noticed that DSCR is disabled on t=
hat
P9 VM machine, hence the example I provided you that executes 'mfdscr' does=
 not
work and dies with SIGILL. The JVM, as I said, will detect DSCR at runtime,=
 so
DSCR enable or disabled in the system should not be a problem to the JVM.

Either way I'm still wondering how you got DSCR enable on your Talos.

Could I have access to the machine you got the JVM SIGILL?

Are you able to reproduce the SIGILL consistently, every time you ran java =
or
java -Xcomp -help, for instance?

Thank you.
