/usr/bin/sed -e 's:@PREFIX@:/usr/local:g'  </usr/ports/security/uvscan-dat/files/update_dat >/usr/ports/security/uvscan-dat/work/update_dat

files/ contains only update_dat (a script installed by the program),
no patches. Is the error message invalid, or should the script be
moved elsewhere?
