Actually, it was pointed out to me that my problem was the result of
cvsup'ing dunring a small window (about 2 hours) where that device went
undefined. If you cvsup again, it should be fine, and more correct than
my solution.

On the other hand, if you're lazy like me, it shouldn't be a big deal.
